Court ruling in favor of Intel
SANTA CLARA -- A Federal Court has made a ruling in an anti-trust lawsuit that was filed by Advanced Micro Devices against Intel. According to the ruling, discounts offered by Intel do not violate anti-trust laws.
AMD filed the suit 5 years ago, complaining of Intel's practice of offering lower prices to keep computer makers buying their products.
The finding said customers were not obligated to accept the discounts and could pass the savings along to customers. AMD says they will appeal.
