Defense attorney convicted
SAN JOSE -- A prominent San Jose defense attorney has been convicted of money laundering. Jamie Harley was found guilty of five counts of laundering money for a former client. The jury deadlocked on one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering.
Two years ago, 53-year-old Harley was charged with laundering more than $100,000 for a client facing state charges of trafficking in stolen computer equipment.
Harley will face time in federal prison when she is sentenced in October.
