Stanford University seeks restraining order
PALO ALTO -- Stanford University officials have filed a petition seeking a restraining order against a former employee. The petition was filed in San Mateo County Superior Court this week against a Menlo Park man who was fired for harassment.
53-year-old Francis Robert was terminated in 2008 for harassing a female soccer coach. The restraining order is being sought on behalf of the victim. The petition claims the former employee has been stalking the coach including showing up at her Portola Valley home.
Santa Clara County Superior Court had already issued a stay-away order in 2008. A hearing is scheduled for July 30.
