San Jose officers threatened
SAN JOSE -- A 16-year-old boy threatened four San Jose police officers when they arrested him for shoplifting. The boy was taken into custody Friday at Costco in North San Jose. He then fought with officers and threatened to have his gang affiliates kill them.
It took four officers to subdue the teenager and they suffered bumps and bruises in the battle. The boy was wanted on an outstanding felony warrant and had a history of gang violence.
Officer Jose Garcia says they do take those kinds of threats seriously. He says that investigators may look into seeing how credible the threats are.
Threats of gang retaliation don't happen everyday, but are not unheard of, according to Garcia.
