Sexual abuse charges filed against San Jose man
GILROY -- Charges have been filed against a San Jose man arrested last week for alleged sexual child abuse. The Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office has filed 17 felony charges against Efren Becerra.
The 28-year-old was arrested at his home last week after Gilroy police said they uncovered evidence that he'd allegedly abused three girls over several years, starting in February of 2002. Police say there was electronic evidence to back up the claims of the victims.
Becerra is scheduled to enter a plea on August 17th. He's currently being held at Santa Clara County Jail on no bail.
