SANTA CRUZ -- Police are looking for suspects involved in the deadly shooting of a Gilroy man in Santa Cruz Saturday night. Reports came in about a shooting in the area of East Cliff Drive and Jessie Street around 7pm.
After officers arrived on the scene, they found the victim, a 24-year-old man from Gilroy, with at least five gunshot wounds on the east side of the San Lorenzo River. He was taken to Dominican hospital and was pronounced dead.
Witnesses report that two male suspects were spotted running from the shooting scene and headed for Ocean View Park. The victim's identity has not been released.
