Brothers sue Boy Scouts, Mormon Church over alleged abuse
SUNNYVALE -- Three men who grew up in Sunnyvale are suing the Mormon Church and the Boy Scouts of America, claiming both organizations should have done more to prevent their stepfather from molesting them as children.
The men filed the lawsuit this week.
In it, they claim their stepfather, 65-year-old William Knox, molested them over a 10-year period in the 1970s and 1980s.
At the time, Knox was a leader in both the Church and the Boy Scouts.
Knox and his wife ran the Sunnyvale-based Little Angel Day Care during that time.
