SAN JOSE -- The official Santa Clara County poem has been finished. It's the work of the newly appointed Poet Laureate, Nils Peterson, even though he didn't write any of it. After his appointment last April, it was his idea to have people write a short line about what they observed one day and to submit it to be included in the completed work.
The final product is called, "A Family Album; Santa Clara County 2009." Peterson says it's a time capsule of sorts and wishes there would have been others from years ago he could look back on. The final poem came from about 500 entries where Peterson selected a hundred and linked them together.
