SANTA CLARA - The owners of Great America are calling on the Santa Clara City Council to postpone voting tonight on a deal to build a stadium for the 49ers on the theme park's parking lot.
In a letter to the mayor, lawyers for park owner Cedar Fair say the deal doesn't address Great America's concerns about parking and other potential financial losses.
The letter asks the council to either delay a vote for a month or reject the plan.
A Santa Clara City spokeswoman says the meeting will go on as scheduled.
