Mountain View - Google is running more online ads than it did before. This time last year, Google was running an average of nearly five ads per keyword.
The company made headlines when it vowed to improve the quality of its advertising algorithm, cutting that number of ads nearly in half by mid-2008. The company hasn't said why yet, but it looks like the number of ads running online are on the rise again, to roughly four ads per keyword. That's the latest word from online search research firm AdGooroo.
AdGooroo goes one step further, saying in its report, "Q4 will prove to be the strongest quarter on record for Google" due to the increase in ads. Google plans to release fourth-quarter results next Thursday.
