JOEY CHESTNUT TO BE RECOGNIZED BY CITY COUNCIL

San Jose - He's probably the most famous competitive eater in the US and Tuesday, San Jose's own Joey Chestnut will receive a commendation for his efforts by the San Jose City Council.
Councilmember Forest Williams says the honor comes on the heels of Chestnut's victory at Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest, where he downed 59 hot dogs in ten minutes. Williams expects Chestnut to speak aobut training his body and maintaining a healthy lifestyle so that he can participate and be successful in the competitions.
In addition to being a hot dog champ, Chustnut recently won a pizza eating contest, in which he devoured 45 slices in ten minutes.
