NGUYEN GET HELPS FROM REED IN RECALL EFFORT

San Jose - A San Jose city council member facing a recall attempt is getting help from the Mayor.

Chuck Reed and his budget advisor, Armando Gomez, raised about $10,000 in the last month to help out Madison Nguyen, the first Vietnamese-American council member.

Nguyen has been targeted for a recall because of her stand against naming a retail area on Story Road, "Little Saigon."

Recall proponents have missed the deadline to gather enough signatures to get the matter on the November ballot.
