SAN JOSE -- A 19-year-old baseball player with the San Jose Giants managed to make bail late last week, on charges he murdered a man during a bar fight in the Dominican Republic.
The case has taken an unexpected turn, with the family of the murder victim now saying they don't want to press charges against Angel Villalona.
Villalona made headlines when the San Francisco Giants gave him a $2.1 million signing bonus at the age of 16.
He's since played minor league ball in San Jose, with hopes of being called up to the major league.
