TESLA OPENS ELECTRIC CAR DEALERSHIP IN MENLO PARK

Menlo Park - A Tesla electric sports car dealership opened today in Menlo Park.  It's only the second dealership for the Silicon Valley auto maker with their first having opened in May in Los Angeles.

Tom O'Leary is the general manager and he says having an electric high performance sport roadster is the right way to approach advancing the cause of electric vehicles.

O'Leary said, despite the cost of more than a hundred thousand dollars for their roadster, the fact that it costs about $4 to fill its batteries makes it economical as well.

The showroom takes orders on cars that would take about a year to deliver and test drives come only after a deposit is paid.
