CUPERTINO -- Symantec could have another acquisition on its hands. The company is expected to announced its purchase of Sunnyvale-based Mi5 Networks during this week's RSA Conference in San Francisco.
Mi5 Networks is a security appliance startup, which recently raised $3.5 million in venture backing from Labrador Ventures, First Round Capital and other angel investors. Phone calls made to the number listed on Mi-Five Network's website show that the number has been changed to a Symantec line.
The last acquisition made by Symantec was its $695 million purchase of MessageLabs last October.
