San Jose - The foreclosure crisis is still in full swing in Santa Clara County according to figures from the second quarter of this year.
3,751 homeowners received notices of default, meaning they missed house payment and could face foreclosure. That number is an increase of nearly 200% from the second quarter of last year.
That growth in defaults is far above the Bay Area's increase of 140% over last year and the state's jump of 124%.
Across the state, more than a 121,000 families were sent notices that they were in default in the second quarter.
