MOUNTAIN VIEW RECOGNIZED FOR RESERVOIR

Mountain View - The City of Mountain View has won the equivalent of an Oscar its Graham Reservoir and Sports Complex project.

The League of California Cities gives out the Helen Putnam Award for Excellence annually to recognize outstanding achievements among the state's 478 cities.

Mountain View was the sole winner this year in the public works category for the 8 million gallon underground reservoir it constructed at Graham Middle School with a sports complex on top of it.

The project opened in December 2006 and includes an all weather track, soccer and football fields, a baseball diamond and basketball and volleyball courts atop the reservoir.
