Morgan Hill - Morgan Hill city officials are fighting to hold onto their city's longstanding policy about affordable housing.
A group of real estate developers are placing a measure on the November ballot that would cut the city's affordable housing mandate in half.
Morgan Hill is challenging that ballot measure in court, and filed an injunction on what it called an "invalid" measure. The city currently requires at least 20% of new housing be priced low enough for people with moderate incomes.
Developers say that requirement is unbearable, and eats into their profit margins.
