Sunnyvale - After playing hardball with Yahoo, and losing, Microsoft says it's taking its bat and going home.
Since dropping it $47.5 billion bid for Yahoo last Saturday, the company has suggested it's moved on, and is no longer interested in renewing that bid.
The latest development came yesterday, when Microsoft reportedly drafted a memo releasing a team of people the company wanted to force onto Yahoo's board of directors.
Analysts are split on whether Microsoft is really done with Yahoo, or if the company is trying to game Yahoo's investors into accepting a lower offer.
