German Style Red Cabbage, 10/13/04

Chop fairly fine one head cabbage.
Slice 2 unpeeled apples.
1 cup apple or cranberry juice.
1/2 - 1 cup red wine vinegar

Put whole cloves and peppercorns in tea ball.  Cover and bring to boil.  Simmer until tender.  Dice 2 - 6 slices bacon - brown.  Add 1 medium chopped onion.  Sauté until browned and soft.  Add bacon and onions to cabbage.  Sprinkle flour over top and toss.
