San Jose - A metal plating shop caught on fire early this morning in San Jose. The blaze was reported around 4:30am in an industrial business park in the 300 block of Umbarger Road, across the street from the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds.
The fire was immediately contained by the building's sprinkler system. There were no injuries reported in the incident.
The San Jose Fire Department's hazardous materials team has been examining the building to make certain that no chemicals have leaked outside.
