San Jose - The floors and windows are in and the air conditioning is working at the North Concourse of Mineta San Jose International Airport, which is under construction.
The new concourse will include 10 gates and updated facilities that Montgomery says will help Southwest employees move passengers and baggage along more efficiently.
Southwest Airlines Vice President Bob Montgomery said passengers are going to love the new building as it is expected to have a better environment.
Montgomery said that despite the high cost of fuel and other pressures on the airline industry Southwest remains committed to San Jose and sees the region as a strong market.
