ERRORS IN SOME PROPERTY ASSESSMENT NOTICES

San Jose - Property assessment notices were mailed out in Santa Clara County last Friday and now we're learning many of them contain errors.
County Assessor Larry Stone doesn't know how many have errors, but says the problem was in the printing of the cards, not in the property assessment database.
Problems with some of the notification cards include incorrect addresses and property values.
Stone says corrected cards will be sent when the problem is fixed and property owners don't need to do anything.
