Dan Harris is joining 1590 KLIV as a weekend news anchor and editor. He comes from a television background, and is excited to take on the challenge of the radio airwaves.
A graduate of San Jose State University, Dan produced newscasts for the university's award-winning Update News, featured on local television.
While a senior at San Jose State, Dan worked as a production assistant at KRON-4 News Weekend.
Dan began his career in journalism at Los Gatos High School, working with KLIV's News Director George Sampson at KCAT-15. Dan acted as lead play-by-play and co-producer of many student-run live sports telecasts, and as co-anchor of the high school's sports magazine show, CATSports.
Currently, he works as a reporter and producer for Cal-Hi Sports Bay Area, an award-winning weekly high school sports show servicing the Bay Area.
Dan is also an accomplished theater director, having worked at many of the area's schools with kids of all ages. He has been an actor and singer since he was young, and was last seen on stage in the innagural production of FAME with Actor's Theater Center.
Dan lives in Santa Clara and is excited to be part of Silicon Valley's news station.
