San Jose - Cisco Systems is purchasing Pure Networks, a company that focuses on home networking software and tools. Cisco says Seattle-based Pure Networks will serve as the foundation for the development of new applications, tools and capabilities for consumers to use in an increasingly 'connected life' at home, at work and on the go."
The $120 million acquisition is expected to be completed during the first fiscal quarter of 2009.
Cisco says once the acquisition is finalized, Pure Networks' employees will be integrated into Linksys. Pure Networks will remain in Seattle.
