Bond considered for Mountain View-Los Altos School District
MOUNTAIN VIEW -- The Mountain View-Los Altos High School District may be looking to get the public's help in making some much needed repairs. The district recently did a poll to find out if voters in the area would support a "no tax increase" general obligation bond if it was put on the ballot in June.
The plan calls for it to replace an existing bond that was passed in 1995. Discussion of a new bond has been taking place over the last two years after projections showed that the district could get about 900 additional students over the next ten years.
If passed, it would go towards creating more classrooms and making the schools more energy efficient. The school board will receive a presentation on the poll results when it meets on Monday night.
