APPLE EXPECTED TO INCREASE PRICES ON ITUNES

Cupertino - Apple is reportedly set to raise the prices of popular songs available through iTunes. According to the Los Angeles Times, several songs will go up to $1.29 cents on April 7th.

In addition, the prices will go down for certain songs as the company is working on a new strategy that company executives hope will encourage more spending on music through special pricing packages. Since it started, iTunes prices have remained a steady 99 cents for each song purchased for download on its various iPod devices.

Apple has not commented on the reports.
